Winter Sports Registration is set to open September 15th!

On time registration for CLUB BASKETBALL and WRESTLING will be September 15th - October 15th with late fees of $25 beginning on October 16th. 

Registration for SELECT BASKETBALL will only be open September 15th - October 15th, in order to hold tryouts the last two weeks of October.

Winter Sports include Boys Basketball (Club and Select), Girls Basketball (Club and Select) and Wrestling.  Please click on the individual sports link on our website or contact the Sports Commissioner if you have questions about a specific sport.

SELECT BASKETBALL:

As in previous years, you must be registered for Select Basketball (not Club) in order to try out for Select.  Try-outs will be held during the last 2 weeks in October. Select Basketball (8 Select-13 Select) will continue to be based on birthdate. Registration will be open only September 15th - October 15th.

 

 

REC BASKETBALL:

Leagues for Girls and Boys Club Basketball are:

1^st/2^nd Grades, 3^rd/4^th Grades, 5^th/6^th Grades, 7^th/8^th Grades, and High School “Scrub” 9^th-12^th Grades.  

 

Please note that our High School Boys Club Basketball (scrub) league in particular is extremely popular and we have to turn players away every year.  This league and some others will reach capacity prior to the on time deadline of October 31st, so if you are interested, please register at your earliest convenience. If you end up playing for your High School team, you will get a full refund.

 

High School/college students who are interested in being paid referees for 1^st-8^th grade club basketball need to register online as well. There is a separate registration for Basketball Referees.  Training will be provided in November.

 

WRESTLING:

The Green Hornets wrestling program is for children ages 6 -15 years old. The season typically begins late December and runs through late February.

At this time, we are not certain as to the season dates or limits on the number of participants, we will send out more information as we receive it.

 

Coaches are always needed! Please register using the registration link on our homepage and complete the 2 requirements detailed on the registration form if you haven’t already: 1) You must have a current AA County Parks and Rec background check, and 2) You must have a concussion training certificate on file with the GH Office.
