WAGS Representative: The WAGS (Washington Area Girls Soccer) rep is the liaison between the teams which play in this league and the league itself. Duties include: Represent the interests of the club in policy, rules and discipline, and administration; coordinate special requests from the club or a team to the league; attend quarterly meetings and disseminate important information to the various teams. Requires about an average of 12 hours per month.
Club Program Director: This Director is responsible for the entire club program. Duties include: Assist with the registration process to ensure every child is accounted for with a team; recruit and assist the League Coordinators and other volunteer positions; determine and order the equipment and uniforms; work with the Referee Coordinator and League Coordinators to establish the game schedule; determine any alterations to the typical game rules (number of players per team, number of players on the field during play, etc.). Beginning in mid-July through August, about 6 hours per week is typical. During the season, 2 hours per week is typical. As the season concludes, 4 older leagues have playoffs, and there is typically a few hours of set up activity.
Treasurer: This position is intended to assist the Commissioner in developing and tracking the budget for all soccer expenses. In addition, depending on experience, this person may also participate in negotiating contract costs (for example, the uniforms and equipment for the club program). About 6 hours per month is typical.
Communications Coordinator: This position is intended to coordinate official content and copy for the soccer program in general, and will involve our web site, local newspapers, and email for activities such as game result reporting, registration, fundraising, event notification, awards and honors, etc. About 6 hours per month is typical.
