Green Hornets Soccer Clinic Coaches Do you know the children's games called Red Light/Green Light, Freeze Tag, and Musical Chairs? If yes (or no for that matter), you can teach your kids how to play soccer!
At this age, coaching is about having fun through games with a soccer ball and to create a happy, secure environment that the kids want to come back to next year.
No experience or training is needed. All Green Hornets coaches are provided practice ideas and introductory coaching training through State and National organizations.
In order to become a Coach or Assistant Coach:
- Coaches and Assistant Coaches must register online as a volunteer through the Green Hornets website, AND
- Must complete Anne Arundel County s Background Investigation Authorization Form

09/06/08 (Sat) Games Begin at Cypress Creek (U04s at 9:00, U05s at 10:30, U06s at 12:00)

2008 TRAINING The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) is conducting their "Parent Coach Diploma" at Severna Park High School on August 25 following the mandatory coaches meeting. Green Hornets pays for all Green Hornets soccer coaches and assistant coaches to participate. The course is for coahces of players 5-8 years old and includes philosophy of youth coaching, organizing practices, and age-appropriate practice activities. The course also includes a one-year membership to the NSCAA (for new members only).
